LC #32: Comic Con!

Posted by Erik On August - 1 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesThere were a lot of great things from the LOST panel at Comic Con this year! We get some major hints about what the premise of season six will be, we learn about who may or may not be returning, and Jorge Garcia asks the big question—if the first five seasons didn't count, wouldn't that be a big cheat? But before we get to that, we address an important piece of listener feedback.

Posted by Erik On July - 27 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesBefore we get to the Comic Con episode (coming later this week), we take a look at some other interviews with the producers, and we finally get a (mostly) definitive answer on what's up with Libby.

LC #29: Return of the Dead?

Posted by Erik On July - 8 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesThis week on LOSTChatter:

We've been hearing all sorts of rumors about actors returning to reprise the roles of dead characters. Most have been shot down, but now rumblings are starting to resurface. Will this happen? Is it a good thing if it does?

Then we discuss the "recrash" theory Erik fears may happen in season six. Would this invalidate the series events up until now? Would the producers really do this?

LC #28: Man of Luck

Posted by Erik On June - 18 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesJack's the "man of science." Locke's the "man of faith." This week, we take a look at everyone's favorite "man of luck," Hurley.

Several characters on the show have talked about "making your own fate" and "choosing your destiny." Is Hurley able to take it so far as to actually affect the world around him through his subconscious thoughts? For all the talk about fate, we wonder if Hurley may be one of the most pivotal characters in the series.

LC #27: Whose Cabin Is It?

Posted by Erik On June - 5 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesWelcome to the new "season" of LOSTChatter! This week on the show, we take a look at the cabin.

Who does the cabin really belong to? What's up with the ash? Who really asked for Locke's help in season three? We discuss all this and much more in the first of a series of episodes looking at questions presented in the finale.

LC #26a: Fade to White (fixed)

Posted by Erik On May - 27 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesOOPS! We had some very complicated technical difficulties human errors that meant episode 26 wasn't mixed properly. Portions of conversations cut out, people talking over top of one another... it was pretty nasty. But it's fixed! Since most of our listeners had already downloaded the episode, I'm reposting it as an entirely new post for their convenience. Also, as a result, we'll be holding back on the next episode by a couple of days in order to space everything out. Sorry for the inconvenience!

There are tons of things to discuss as a result of the season five finale — far too much to cover in one show. So in this episode, we give our thoughts and observations on the finale, and we give you a preview of what we'll be discussing over the next few weeks (yes, we'll be continuing LOSTChatter throughout the entire off-season!).

***UPDATE*** There were some technical difficulties, and the mix is all messed up. We'll be repairing the file shortly, and we'll re-release it into the RSS feed and iTunes. You can either check back here for the updated file, or if you subscribe via iTunes or RSS, you can just sit back and let the new file come to you.

***UPDATE*** The file has been remixed and is now complete. You can download it again here, or if you subscribe to our RSS feed or in iTunes, the show will be downloaded automatically. Thanks for your patience!

LC #25: The Perfect Cliffhanger?

Posted by Erik On May - 11 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesNathan comes up with an utterly ridiculous idea on how the finale might end, and by the end of this episode, he's got Erik and Joe fully convinced.

Listen to find out more about our theory of what we believe would be the most outrageous ending ever, as well as our opinions on Radzinsky, Jughead, Locke, the incident, reincarnation, and more.

(Discuss the finale theory on our newly-opened forums!)

LC #24: Daniel’s a Little Loopy

Posted by Erik On May - 7 - 2009

lostchatter_itunesThis week on LostChatter:

We finally get our Daniel flashback, and I'm not sure whether it's helpful or just more confusing. It's interesting to see the circle complete between him and his mother, but is he really correct about the "variable?" And can the past actually be changed?

Join Erik, Joe, and Nathan as they discuss issues of destiny versus free will, the fate of the Oceanic Six, the upcoming "incident," and more!
