• According to Deadline.com, Disney has approached Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) and Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Sherlock Holmes, Jumper) to write Star Wars sequels. Presumably, since Michael Arndt is doing Episode VII, Kasdan and Kinberg are being courted for Episodes VIII & IX.
• Borys Kit (Hollywood Reporter) tweeted that "deals are closed. And they will also be producers."
• Lou & Erik agree that Kasdan would be a good choice.
• Erik thinks that Kinberg is good at writing relationships between protagonists but hasn't proven himself with writing villains yet.
