This week on the show:
Mobile data backhaul is unsustainable, Last.fm didn't sell you out, CBS did, and what would you do with a $40 computer?

- if it is ok to videotape a screen and not break the DRM of a DVD it
should also be ok to screen capture using a program like Cam Studio,
and thusly it should be ok to capture with the dvd playing at double
speed, and if that's ok it should be legal to capture with the DVD
being played so fast that it fits between the refreshes of the users
monitor, and if that's ok it is not needed to actually play, and could
just be "ripped" from the DVD onto the the computer at the press of a
button without breaking DRM.
It would still be illegal to distribute to noneducational purposes,
but it should be just fine for backing up DVDs for a personal
collection.
