For those who don't know, I've actually been podcasting since early 2005. I did three RandomChatter episodes, then I stopped so I could do podcasts for TheForce.net, a massive Star Wars fan site. I went back looking for some of our earlier episodes today, and I discovered something both horrifying and gratifying.
Wow, did those early episodes suck.
It's horrifying in that I can't believe I posted those, let alone won an award for them. However, it's gratifying in that our shows are way better now.
I'll be posting some of our old reviews over the next week, including our infamous review of Ultraviolet. I won't be adding them into the podcast feed. Instead, I'll post a quick list of what's been uploaded with links, and they'll also be included in our new Reviews Index page (the link is in the upper-left corner of the site). It's an alphabetical index of all our reviews, whether in podcast format, blog posting, or forums. You can also filter by the reviewer(s).
Finally, our new forums will be going live this week. We've got an area for you to post your own reviews and to comment on other people's reviews. We encourage everyone to create an account there (you can get a jump start by creating an account here) and participate. Traffic will be light at first, as with any new forum, but your active participation will help it grow.
We'll be highlighting these new features and some other minor changes in our next RandomChatter episode. Stay tuned.
